Popular Products Recycling Drop-Offs

OSWW is delighted to collect various everyday items that aren't currently accepted in our local Blue Bin recycling program. See the list below for the three drop-off campaigns planned for  2024.

Plastic Makeup Containers

OSWW is collecting your non-recyclable plastic makeup containers and will send to Terracycle Inc or PACT Collective for recycling.

Containers DO NOT need to be empty but please:  No perfumes - No aerosols - No nail polish

Items are collected at monthly Repair Cafe Events, or can be dropped off at the Owen Sound Public Library (bin inside the front entrance).

Worn Out & Orphan Socks

Following the success of last year's collection efforts, OSWW will accept old worn out and orphan socks for recycling through an apparel manufacturer. Clean socks only, please!

Items are collected at monthly Repair Cafe Events, or can be dropped off at the Owen Sound Public Library (bin inside the front entrance).

Oral Care Projects

OSWW is also gathering non-recyclable plastic oral products including empty toothpaste tubes, flossers and old  toothbrushes to ship off to Terracycle for recycling.

Items are collected at monthly Repair Cafe Events, or can be dropped off at the Owen Sound Public Library (bin inside the front entrance),=.
